Introduction

Aim
To provide delegates with an understanding of the principles of Shuttle Tanker Operations. Provide them with an awareness of the systems and equipment involved with oil offtake operations from FPSO/FSU’s. To generally increase delegates’ knowledge of regulations, standards and industry guidelines for Shuttle Tankers and their safe practices.
Outcomes
Delegates will be introduced to and gain knowledge and some experience of:
- Guidance on best practice documentation
- Guidance on Legislation associated with Tanker Offloading
- Guidance on checklists utilised by Shuttle tanker/FPSO
- Guidance on General Tanker systems and specific Shuttle Tanker systems
- Guidance on DP systems
- Guidance on Bow Loading Systems (BLS)
- Guidance on Training/Competence
Suitable for: All personnel connected to marine operations e.g., Marine Responsible Person (MRP), offshore installation manager (OIM), deck crew, deck foreman, crane operator, storeman, materials coordinator, control room operator (CRO), supervisors, department heads and onshore management.
Prior knowledge/training: Some experience of offshore operations and conditions would be advantageous but not necessary.
