Namaka Subsea offers subsea operations support, of various disciplines, as required by the Client to ensure that industry recommended practices, guidance and geographical legislation are met and complied with anywhere in the world.
Communications will be maintained with the Client at all times to ensure the scope of work is carried out as per Client instructions and to advise the Client of any changes within the industry that may affect the safety and efficiency of operations.
The support will also ensure the Client is kept abreast of developing/imminent industry initiatives, such as changes in legislation and best practice.
Support will be available to provide technical and operational advice when requested by the Client either on site or remotely via phone, e mail, Skype, etc.
Diving and ROV Operations Advisor
Working with the Client to ensure that processes and decisions result in the overall reduction of risk associated with projects, which will include attending and participating in project planning meetings and project HIRA’s as well as the development of the project risk assessment and diving project plans.
This includes the assistance of the development of systems and procedures required for safe and efficient operations which can be provided at the Clients request and can be developed at the Clients office or remotely.
Diving and ROV Technical Advisor
Working with the Client to ensure that the new build diving and ROV systems are designed and manufactured to the Client speciation as well as current industry best practices, IMCA guidance, classification rules and geographical legislation.
This includes ensuring that processes and the design of the systems result in the overall reduction of risks associated with diving and ROV operations.
System design plays a crucial part in ensuring the integrity of any diving or ROV system as well as ensuring safe and efficient operations. Therefore, it is essential that the diving or ROV system be evaluated against the relevant industry standards as part of a technical assessment.
The Client will be advised on the selection of equipment to ensure the equipment and supporting documentation is both fit for its intended use and complies with current best industry practices and guidance.
Diving Safety Advisor
Acting as the focal point for all diving operations performed including diving incident or accident investigation, Namaka Subsea shall ensure the operations are carried out safely and in accordance with current industry legislation, guidance and recommended practices.
Working with the Client to ensure that processes and decisions result in the overall reduction of risk associated with projects, which will include attending and participating in project planning meetings and project HIRA’s as well as the development of the project risk assessments and diving project plans.
Further assistance in the development and review of systems and procedures required for safe and efficient operations will be provided and can be completed at the Client offices or remotely. This will identify where Client documentation, associated with diving and ROV operations, should be reviewed periodically to ensure they are current with industry best practices.
With previous experience in the project management and planning of diving projects as well as diving system builds and refits, Namaka Subsea can provide approved and competent project managers or project teams. Emphasis shall be placed on providing the required discipline, competent both operationally and technically, to carry out projects such as:

IMCA Membership Assistance
Assisting diving contractors throughout the world, providing specialist personnel to assist the diving contractor through the International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA) offshore diving contractor membership process. This includes, but is not limited to, a full review of the diving contractors offshore diving safety management system, diving manual, company policies, diving system operating and emergency procedures, diving medical support and a survey of their existing equipment.
The basic elements of the diving contractor’s management system will be reviewed, and the findings documented within a report to confirm whether the content is correct and meets the requirements of IMCA guidelines that apply to the specific procedure or document. The report will include a conclusion as well as recommendations where required to ensure the diving contractor can submit a comprehensive package for review and subsequent award of IMCA membership.
